General Assembly

Just to remind you on the general assembly in connection with the Nordic Gastromeeting in Göteborg. In the previous newsletter for february the general assembly was announced to take place on the 19^th of June. This has been changed to

Tuesday the 20^th of June 2000 from 16.45 – 18.30

NORDIC MEETING ofGASTROENTEROLOGY

The SAGIM scientific symposium is scheduled to Tuesday the 20^th of June form 09.00 to 11.30. There will be two sessions. One with guestlectures given by:

Jan Haltlebakk: Motility and gastro-oesophageal reflux. Anything new?

Hans Gregersen: Application of biomechanical principles for studying gastrointestinal function.

This session will be chaired by Niels Qvist.

The other session will be a free paper session chaired by Einar Björnsson.

AWARD

The steering committee has decided upon a award to the best abstract on gastrointestinal motility submitted and accepted for presentation either as a free paper or as a poster. On an anonymous basis the selection will be made by the past-presidents Peter Funch Jensen, Per Hellström and Einar Husebye. The award will be presented at the end of the scientific session.

The last newsletter the general assembly was announced toThe forthcoming general assembly is going to be held in connection with the Nordic Meeting of Gastroenetrology in Göteborg on the 19^th of June 2000. The general assembly will start at 16.15h and the venue will be SVENSKA MESSAN, Mässans gata 8, Göteborg. The room for the assembly will appear in the final programme for the Nordic Meeting in Gastroenterology
