MoodNet was established in February 2007 and is headed by Professor in Psychiatry Anders Lund and MA in administration and organisation theory Stine Hauge. The research network is open and consists mainly of clinicians and researchers from the local health trusts' psychiatric health care and researchers from the universities in the region. All members have a particular interest and competence in research on mood disorders. MoodNet receives an annual funding of NOK 1.5 mill. from Western Norway Regional Health Authority (Helse Vest RHF) during the project period.
MoodNet aspires to
- generate good clinical research on mood disorders using both qualitative and quantitative methodology
- increase clinicians' research competence on mood disorders
- create good and lasting interdisciplinary research relations within the region
- include the service user/consumer perspective in its research projects
